A designer by training and a Fine Arts School
graduate, Jean Muller began his career as a stylist for
an international watchmaking group.
He then opted for freedom and adventure by launching
the BUGATTI watch brand in the 1980s, independently
managing this daring project from design right through
to worldwide distribution of collections.
For the past 15 years, Jean Muller has been discreetly
cooperating with the great names in Swiss watchmaking
and French jewellery-making.
The continuity of this family firm is ensured by
the support of his wife Véronique, who handles sales
& communication, and his son Benjamin, also a designer.
In keeping with the fi nest traditions of haute horlogerie,
the company cultivates the perfect balance between
a hand-craftsmanship approach and industrial
innovation, associating technical mastery with original
jewellery creativity. Three-fold activity in design,
development and production ensures great flexibility in
creating precious jewellery and watches.
This expertise is expressed through cooperation
with brands such as Chopard, Girard Perregaux,
Guy Ellia, Leviev, Richard Mille, TAG Heuer and
The British Masters. Other brands have requested

Launching a collection based on an existing

Design & Development
Jean Muller and his son Benjamin have a number of
valuable assets: artistic and industrial training and
education, a knowledge of gemmology, skills in two
and three-dimensional design software, and wellestablished
experience in the field of watchmaking.
The success of a product depends on a subtle
alchemist's blend of compliance with technical
constraints, judicious aesthetic choices and
a justified price.
The sketches are then modelled in 3D. These
computer-generated images enable fast approval
of the design and concept by circumventing
the expensive and lengthy prototype stage.
This technique guarantees the flexibility and speed
of the subsequent production process.
Production
This workshop is located at the heart of the European
Microtechniques Science and technology park.
It specialises in the production of watches and
jewellery developed for the most prestigious brands.
It is equipped with both traditional watchmaking
and jewellery tools and cutting-edge technologies.
Mastery of both traditional crafts and state-of-theart
technologies enables it to meet demand for oneof-
a-kind models, limited or medium-sized series
while providing the assurance of extremely stringent
quality control exercised at each stage.
Jewellery
This activity calls for a broad range of talents:
a sense of shapes and volumes, as well as
a knowledge of drawing, arts and gemmology,
and technical mastery.
The Atelier Muller draws upon the finest talents
stemming from the most demanding training
backgrounds, thereby guaranteeing the excellence
of each step in production and finishing.
Patience, meticulous care, dexterity and creativity
ensure high-quality gem-setting performed
in-house by our gem-setters: invisible, grain, claw,
rail, snow setting…
Atelier d'horlogerie
Forming an alliance between design and horological
complications, Jean Muller and Master-Watchmaker
Bruno Laville have created a watchmaking workshop
in Le Locle (Switzerland).
Various services are performed there, including
decoration, engraving, and assembly of movements
and complications.
The complete watches are assembled and tested
(for precision and water resistance) in compliance
with Swiss Made standards synonymous with
technical and aesthetic quality.
